David Means business! Singing business!

David Means has sung with SACC for the past four seasons and we're thrilled to welcome him back for our The Mystery of Christmas concert this upcoming weekend, Dec. 16 and 17!  A little bit about David:

Dr. David Means is the Director of Choral Studies at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX. He is also organist for two area churches, Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. He is also the conductor of the Valley Symphony Orchestra Chorale and has recently formed the Rio Grande Valley’s premier professional choral group, the Valley Choral Artists.

Dr. Means has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX where he was a double major in voice and piano; a Master of Music degree from Baylor University in Waco, TX in Choral Conducting and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Music from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. He has taught secondary choral music and university choral music in Texas, California and Virginia with over 20 years’ experience.

David was a featured singer on SACC's newest album, Unfrozen: Christmas in the Baltics, which is now available for purchase on iTunes.  It's a beautiful album of Christmas and solstice music from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia and would make an excellent holiday gift for the classical music lover in your life!  For a limited time, donors who make a generous donation to SACC for $100 or more receive this beautiful CD as a gift!

If you love David and want to support his singing endeavors, please consider donating to the San Antonio Chamber Choir so that we can continue to provide San Antonio and South Texas with performances of the finest choral music featuring David and all our extremely talented singers!  Thank you so much!

Come see David and the rest of the San Antonio Chamber Choir this December 16th and 17th for SACC's The Mystery of Christmas Concert!  This event celebrates 100 years of recorded jazz and 1,000 years of choral music in a combined concert with special guests, the Jazz Protagonists.  Also featured will be the North East School of the Arts Dancers and the Clark High School Choir.
